When you connect your bank accounts through Plaid, we receive:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information. We share data only with:

  • Plaid: To facilitate bank account connections and transaction retrieval
  • Stripe: To process subscription payments
  • Supabase: Our database and authentication infrastructure provider
  • Your Household Members: Users within your household can see shared financial data

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures including:

  • AES-256 encryption at rest for all stored data
  • TLS 1.2+ encryption for all data in transit
  • Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring household data isolation
  • Server-side authentication verification on all API routes
  • Multi-factor authentication support for user accounts
  • Regular security reviews and dependency vulnerability scanning

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:

  • Bank connections are immediately revoked via Plaid
  • All personal and financial data is permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Authentication records are removed
  • Application logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes, then deleted

7. Your Rights

Under applicable privacy laws (including PIPEDA and US state privacy regulations), you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw Consent: Disconnect bank accounts or delete your account at any time
